Lack of description of contents and their use

I have a friend who knows al knock personally. He told me stories of installing the third ( and 4th) taillight in old corvettes working in the shop with Al.
I have called three times to ask questions and was told I would be called back.
I have 1961 seats and included in the package are 6 rods which do not match the factory stuff
I can guess what to do but I would prefer an explanation from the experts
