1968 Chevrolet Camaro Dash Pad

I’m restoring a 68 Camaro and I’m very happy with the fit and finish of this dash pad.

I bought a dash for 1968 Camaro, looks great. Went to install and had to work both sides in, not a problem. Dash has 4 #10 bolts imbedded to attach to dash and I was using lock nuts. Three of the four embedded bolts stripped out before the nylon part of the lock nut was completely engage. I never even reached full threaded nut. Needless to say had to take apart and fix by tightening a nut up against the plastic. Then carefully put back on and snug tightened regular nut, then double nutted.
My point, looks good but crap construction. Three out of four attached bolts stripping out is unacceptable. The one bolt that did not strip is slightly out of place and is causing a small ripple in the dash top. GM made hundreds of thousands of these dashes, I doubt it is my dash holes being in wrong place. The bolt being tight up against the side of the hole is probably the only reason it did not strip. Would have returned it but I am on a timeline (it was already 2 weeks late) and was able to make it work.
Giving it 2 stars because it looks good, definitely not for quality construction.
